UVA Summer Medical Leadership Program

SMLP is a free, six-week summer medical enrichment program for undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine.

Program includes:
  • Lecture series by leaders in medicine
  • Mentoring by eminent physicians
  • Exposure to clinical settings
  • Personal career development counseling
  • Workshops on medical school admissions, financial planning, time and stress
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis until April 15th, 2018.
