UCLA Public Health Scholars Training Program

Applications are now open for the UCLA Public Health Scholars Training Program, providing undergraduate students the opportunity to address health disparities and explore public health through hands-on training, workshops, and leadership and professional development.

Program Overview
  • 8-week summer training program (June 24 - August 17, 2018)
  • Internships with a partner organization in Los Angeles
  • $3,000 stipend, housing, some meals, and a metro pass
  • Trip provided by the program to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA with Public Health Scholars from other programs across the nation
Program Eligibility Criteria
  • Interest in exploring a career in Public Health
  • By the start of the program, scholars must 1) be enrolled in a 4-year institution and completed at least 2 years of undergraduate education OR 2) graduated Spring 2017 or later and have not been accepted into a graduate program
  • No GPA requirement
