UVA Clinical Research Assistant Positions Available

We are a team of UVA medical students, neurology residents, and faculty in neurology and biomedical engineering working on a project aiming to develop algorithms to automate detection of neurologic deficits in patients with stroke. We have a few positions available for students interested in helping with various aspects of clinical research.

Clinical research assistant
This is a volunteer position that allows you to work directly with patients. As a clinical research assistant, you will be primarily responsible for data collection from patients and controls. Training will be provided on various aspects of clinical work such as interviewing and performing screens. Opportunities to work towards publications / grant writing are also possible. Several positions available. Time commitment can vary but we would like students that can commit at least 4-6 hours per week.

Research coordinator
This is a paid position that allows you to help manage a project as well as work directly with patients. As a research coordinator you will help manage the daily operations of a large scale research project, participate in data collection/processing, grant writing, and have the opportunity to work towards publications. We are seeking at least a 6-month commitment (longer if desired) and availability primarily Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with a flexible schedule to accommodate classes or other commitments.

If interested, please contact Omar Uribe at coding.stroke@email.virginia.edu with a copy of your resume and a brief statement highlighting relevant experience, if applicable.
