2017 UVA Center for Global Health Photography Contest

The Center for Global Health invites students and faculty to share their photographs and stories which represent the rich possibilities of inclusive, respectful global engagement. CGH will support the 2017 Global Health Photography Contest with a reception on Wednesday, October 25th during Global Week at UVA. Please consider sharing your experience by submitting your work to the contest!

The Theme: One Health. "One Health recognizes that the health of people is connected to the health of animals and the environment. The goal of One Health is to encourage the collaborative efforts of multiple disciplines-working locally, nationally, and globally-to achieve the best health for people, animals, and our environment.(CDC)" For all the students who've traveled the globe this summer, we hope that you see health  as a universal value.
Who can enter? Any UVa student who has conducted Global Health or Development research or scholarship for UVA within the past year. 
Guidelines: Please submit photos which reflect a sensitive, respectful approach to communities, individuals and environments. Please do not include photos of individuals who have not given consent to be photographed or photographs taken in a context which compromises privacy, including clinical or other workplace environments. Each submitter grants a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, display, and distribute submitter's image; photos may be printed, reproduced in social media or featured online.
Prizes include giftcards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. 
The deadline to submit photos is September 29th, 2017.
