Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Summer Health Assistant Positions

The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) is seeking candidates for the Health Assistant position this summer. The camp is more books than bug bites and algebra than archery, but campers have the time of their lives in both engaging classes and exciting social activities. Campers come for the classwork, but fall in love with the beautiful college campus settings, energetic staff, and their new best friends.

The CTY staff retention rate is robust, and competitive pay plus room and board are provided. Working closely with the site nurse and site director, health assistants (HAs) participate in the day-to-day operation of the site health office, keep track of students' medications and medical appointments, confer with parents, and act as a liason with nearby medical professionals. Health Assistants must be at least 21 (for insurance purposes) and have a good driving record as they are required to drive site vehicles.

CTY offers the Health Assistant position at sites in CA, MD, VA, RI, PA, NJ, and NY. The sites run for two sessions - the first includes a setup week:

June 19 -- July 15
July 15 -- August 6

Pay begins at $3200 for two sessions with room and board provided.
