Georgetown Academy for Research, Clinical, and Health Equity Scholarship Program (ARCHES)

Georgetown University School of Medicine is excited to announce a call for applicant's for The Dean of Medical Education's Inaugural Academy for Research, Clinical, and Health Equity Scholarship (ARCHES) program.

ARCHES is a 6-week program for six undergraduate students who are rising 3rd and 4th years interested in pursuing medical studies. It aims to strengthen the research and clinical skills of promising undergraduate students and prepare them for successful matriculation to medical school. The program will engage selected participants in:
  • Clinical experience
  • Guided research
  • Immersive service at Georgetown University
  • Greater DC community on issues of health equity
Dates: Monday, 6/28 - Friday, 8/11, 2017
Summer Stipend: $4,000
Housing: On-campus housing at GT University
Travel: Awarded up to $250 per student on a case by case basis by the GT Office of Diversity & Inclusion
Meals: Students are responsible for their own meals / food costs

All students encouraged to apply, including those from backgrounds underrepresented in the health professions and those who identify as first-generation college students. Preference will be given to permanent residents of the District of Columbia.
