College Council is sponsoring research grants of $1,000 and more for CLAS students. Apply for a Fall Scholars research grant to fund your project. Send budgets, timelines, proposals, faculty letters, and all other necessary materials to collegecouncilgrants@gmail.

Staying in Charlottesville for fall break? Consider giving back to the community through service projects with the Rivanna Trails Foundation, Albemarle Housing Improvement Project, City of Promise, and Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Participants can sign up for a single project or all three. The projects will be about six hours, and there will also be post-trip excursions and lots of fun. Registration is free and includes a T-shirt. See the Facebook event page for more information.
