Career Exploration Workshop Date: Tuesdsay, Septemer 29th Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm Location: Bryant Hall UNDECLARED?  Wondering what major to choose, how choice of major relates to future career opportunities, or what employers are looking for in potential candidates? Interested in learning how skills and values can influence career decision making? Want help navigating Career Center resources and setting goals for exploring careers and clarifying your goals?  If so, consider participating in the Career Exploration Workshop Series!  The series is sequential and participants MUST ATTEND ALL 4 SESSIONS (September 10, 17, 24, October 1st ). This event requires pre-registration.

Global Health Case Writing
Date: Tuesday, September 29th

The Center for Global Health is seeking to employ global health case writers. The CGH is sponsoring this interactive workshop to describe global health case writing standards and encourage participants to brainstorm case subjects. We will invite all participants of this workshop to apply for a paid case writing position, a part-time effort from 10.4.15 to 12.18.15. The final case will be submitted for publication through Darden Business Publishing and used for the UVA Global Health Case Competition to be held on January 30, 2016. “Global Education for Girls” - Opportunities and Challenges in Transforming Poverty

Through her leadership at Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) Jessica Posner Odede brings an important innovation to the fight against gender inequality and extreme poverty in the developing world. By linking tuition free schools for girls to holistic social services for all in the urban slums of Nairobi, Kenya, girls’ schools become a portal of social change in these communities. Join her in discussing her experiences, and how we can begin to move forward in transforming poverty all over the world.
