Fourth Annual Concert for A Cure 
Sept. 11, 8 p.m., McLeod Hall
This year’s Concert for a Cure, benefitting Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society, will feature the Virginia Gentlemen, AVP, Sil'hooettes, Virginia Belles, Hoos in Treble, New Dominions, and the Hullabahoos. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or on the Lawn between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visit the Facebook page for more information.

Let's Stop Overuse in Healthcare 
Sept. 16 and 17, noon to 12:50 p.m., McLeod Hall 2010
During this free lunch we will discuss how medical overuse and unnecessary harm to patients impacts our health care system. We will review how communities can raise awareness about overuse and take action toward Right Care for patients. This event is sponsored by the Compassionate Care Initiative and Lown Institute. Free Sticks lunch will be provided. Open to all students, clinicians, faculty, and community members. See the website for more information.

Madison House: Volunteer with Kids and Ponies 
Interested in spending time with horses and kids? Looking to get off Grounds and into the Charlottesville community? Check out the Montanova Stables program with Madison House. Volunteers mentor elementary school kids by helping them learn how to take care of and ride ponies. No previous horse experience is required. Shifts are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoons. Email emk6gu@virginia.edu for more information or sign up online.
