UVa Mini Medical School

Mini-Med School is a 7-week program offered by the University of Virginia that brings an abridged version of medical school to participating community members. It will be held on seven consecutive Wednesday evenings in the fall. 
 
UVa faculty members, with assistance from current medical students, will lead the group in exploration of a wide range of topics in medical education. Core curriculum for the program includes: 

Anatomy: The Faces of Anatomy
Immunology: AIDS

Hormones and Cells: The Ups and Downs of Blood Sugar
Cancer: When Good Cells Go Bad
Research in Action: A Tour of a Research Lab

There is no cost to participate. Applications will open tomorrow, May 1, 2015 and close August 3, 2015. For more information and to apply, click here.

*If you have already applied, notifications of acceptance will be sent by August 24, 2015. The program will accept 130 applicants. If more than 130 applications are received, participants will be chosen by lottery.
