Dr. John Herr leads a team in the Medical School that is fusing knowledge from the fields of reproductive biology and cancer biology to redefine the future of cancer diagnosis and therapy. The seminar will review key discoveries underlying U.Va.’s leading role in opening the exciting field of cancer-oocyte neoantigens, chart the diagnostic and therapeutic innovations under development, and discuss the new Charlottesville company Neoantigenics that is developing new cancer therapies and companion diagnostics.
