Pharmacyclics 2015 Summer Internship Program
Pharmacyclics is a fully integrated biopharmaceutical company committed to developing and commercializing novel therapies to treat cancer and immune-mediated diseases that are intended to improve quality of life, increase duration of life and resolve serious unmet medical healthcare needs. We strive to identify and control promising product candidates based on scientific and administrative expertise and develop them in a rapid, cost-efficient manner, pursuing partners when appropriate. Pharmacyclics markets one approved product, IMBRUVICA® (ibrutinib) that treats several blood cancers. The company also has other product candidates in clinical development and several preclinical molecules in lead optimization.
They are looking for summer interns (cross-discipline) who have completed at least their freshman year of college (graduate level students are welcome for some functions) and are looking to work on rigorous and meaningful projects that are business-critical. Summer interns will also have the opportunity to interact with senior management during weekly lunch and learns. More details are included below.
The summer internship program will take place from June 15-August 21, 2015 at their corporate headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. The internships are paid positions for the summer. In many cases interns have secured jobs at the end of summer. Pharmacyclics is hiring. Executives at the company have worked at most of the major biotech/pharmaceutical companies including: Roche/Genentech, Amgen/Onyx, Johnson & Johnson, Celgene, GSK, etc.
