Michigan Health Sciences Career Development Academy
Building a diverse workforce is an essential part of the equation in achieving health equity. The Michigan Health Sciences Career Development Academy is committed to exposing and preparing students for medical school. This program is designed for rising junior and senior undergraduates or recent graduates of any accredited college or university. In particular, MHSCDA focuses on preparing participants for the extensive process of applying and gaining admission into medical school. Additionally, each participant will have a medical student mentor and be provided formal and informal opportunities to network with faculty and staff. See the website for more information.


Michigan Health Sciences Undergraduate Research Academy
As a MHSURA Fellow, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Choose between a research or a clinical fellowship experience.
  • Be matched with a faculty mentor based on your career interests.
  • Join other fellows for a unique experience.
  • Gain additional insight and understanding of health disparities.
  • Learn about a broad spectrum of career options in health sciences.
  • Participate in professional development seminars.
  • Exhibit your research or clinical experience at a University of Michigan symposium attended by faculty, staff and students at the end of the program.
