Position Opening in UVA Dept of Radiology and Medical Imaging

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging has an immediate opening for someone who seeks to work as part of a team running human studies which evaluate new types of breast cancer imaging systems. This person would work alongside imaging scientists, graduate students, breast imaging radiologists, mammography technologists, and study nurses, primarily in UVa's Breast Care Center in the West Hospital Complex. 

Responsibilities will include: 
-Identifying eligible study participants,
-Describing the nature of the studies to interested volunteers,

-Scheduling scan times,
-Participating in some aspects of the scans.

Excellent communications skills, an ability to grasp and describe basic technical aspects of imaging studies, and organizational skills are prerequisites.
