The Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) Application for the 2012-13 Cycle is Now Available


The Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) application for the 2012-13 cycle is now available at www.ptcas.org


NEW PTCAS PROGRAMS
PTCAS welcomed 14 new programs in PTCAS for the 2012-13 admissions cycle for a total of 160 participating institutions: Clarke University, Grand Valley State University, Marshall University, Mercy College, Radford University, The Sage Colleges, State University of New York Upstate Medical University, University of North Dakota, University of Saint Mary, University of the Incarnate Word, University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse, University of Wisconsin - Madison, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Walsh University. PTCAS GRE CODES
Many PT programs have unique GRE college codes that differ from the codes for their parent university.  Applicants must use the correct GRE code for each PT program that requires the exam for admission.  If not, the PT program will not receive their official scores. Early Decision candidates must take the GRE and request scores to be sent by no later than July 31. For a list of GRE codes and more information, go to http://www.ptcas.org/Tests/

WHAT’S NEW THIS CYCLE
·         New Essay Question - "Describe your decision making process in choosing physical therapy as a career choice versus other health care careers.”
·         Repeat Applicant Data Pulled Forward - See http://www.ptcas.org/Reapplicants/
·         PT Hours Changed - For each specialty area in the PT Observation Hours section, the number of complete hours is now separated from the number of planned hours.
