It is getting to be that time of year where Health Professions applicants are deciding if they want to apply to their respective schools now or take a bridge year. Starting today, there will be a series of essays from fellow peers about they choices they made regarding bridge years and applying to Health Professions schools. Read the first attached essay HERE.
Combined with the bridge year essays, there will be another Bridge Year Workshop on Tuesday, March 27 from 5:00-6:30 PM in the Bryant Hall Recruiting Room. This sessions is inteneded for individuals who are considering or have decided to take a bridge year or years between their undergraduate education and applying for health professions school. We will discuss the common myths behing the bridge year(s) and the best way to utilize the time. In addition, students will also have the opportunity to review mock health professions school applications to learn how to asses one's candidacy and what may be the best bridge year choice for them. Students will also review a health professions resume and learn about the bst ways to highlight their unique clinical, shadowing, or other work and activities. This is a repeat of the Bridge Yar Program that was offered on October 27th.
