International physician Dr. Seth Wanye will be visiting UVA on Thursday November 10th 8:30-9:30 PM in the Chemistry Bldg rm 304 to lecture on public health, social entrepreneurship and his experiences conducting a highly successful venture against preventable blindness in West Africa. A native Ghanaian, Dr. Wanye is the only ophthalmologist for over 2 million people in Northern Ghana and is partnering with the American NGO “Unite For Sight” to educate students and promote his cause. This event is free of charge with a question/ answer session to follow. Volunteer opportunities will be discussed after the lecture.
