eScribe Hiring for Martha Jefferson Emergency Department

eScribe is actively recruiting candidates for positions in the Emergency Department at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Interested undergraduates and recent graduates should be pre-med, PA, pharmacy, or honors students with above average grade point averages, preferably 3.5 or better. Applicants must also be available to work at least two shifts a week, possibly including night, weekend and holiday hours. 

*Due to the lengthy training required, the position requires a one-year commitment.

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Open Houses

The Graduate Programs Open House is Wednesday, July 9th, beginning with registration at 5:30pm. Faculty and students from all disciplines - Physician Assistant Studies, Clinical and School Psychology, Forensic Medicine, Biomedical Sciences and Organizational and Development Leadership - will be available to answer questions specific to each individual program. Refreshments will be served and all details can be found at admissions.pcom.edu

On Monday, July 14th, our  DO Open House begins with registration at 4:00pm. The evening includes presentations from Admissions, faculty and students, Financial Aid, as well as OMM demonstrations. Refreshments will be served.  Details for the evening, along with the online registration can be found at admissions.pcom.edu.

Tours of campus will be conducted both evenings.

2015 AADSAS Application Opens June 2nd!

The 2015 ADEA AADSAS Application is now open!  Applicants can now create their application online at https://portal.aadsasweb.org. Please review the following resources for additional application information.

VMCAS Launches on Thursday, June 5th

The VMCAS 2015 application cycle launches on Thursday, June 5th at around 2PM ET. Below are a few resources to get you started! 
  • VMCAS WEBSITE: This SHOULD be your hub of information throughout the VMCAS cycle. News, and important information is updates regularly as things WILL change throughout the cycle.
  • TRANSCRIPT VERIFICATION: This is CRITCIAL information for you to know! VMCAS recommends getting S.E.T. for verification by getting some of your materials into VMCAS by September 2nd, 2014. While this is NOT a deadline, it will best position you to have your application verified early!
  • WORKSHOP WEBINARS: Beginning in July, 2014, VMCAS offers live customers service Application Workshop Webinars. See the link for all our webinars.
  • FEE REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM: VMCAS is offering a fee reimbursement program for the first time this year. The program will open on June 5th around 2pm when the application launches. Qualified VMCAS applicants can submit requests to VMCAS to have the first designation (school) refunded by VMCAS (a $195 value).
  • RE-APPLICATION PROCESS: If you applied to VMCAS during the VMCAS 2014 cycle (last year), you can pick up your application where you left off this year (whether you submitted your application or not)! Instructions are found at this link.
  • AAVMC/VMCAS NEWSLETTERS: AAVMC has launched a program called the VetSchool Student Engagement System (VSES). Get monthly newsletters called "Pathway" from VMCAS Staff that's tailored to your academic status. Link the link to join!
