Are you interested in the process of cognitive aging? Do you want research and professional experience working with diverse populations? If so, apply to be a research assistant at the Cognitive Aging Lab for the summer of 2016.
A major focus in the Cognitive Aging Lab is the Virginia Cognitive Aging
Project (VCAP). This is currently one of the largest active
longitudinal studies of aging involving comprehensive cognitive
assessments in adults ranging from 18 to 99 years of age in the world.
Over 4,200 adults have participated in our three-session (6-8 hour)
assessment at least once, with about 2,000 participating at least twice,
and about 900 of them participating three or more times. The data from
this project have served as the basis of student theses and
dissertations, and have been described in numerous scientific
publications.
Research assistants are asked to work 35 hours per week, and they earn $12 per hour. Email Ashley Dunn to request an application.
